What's happening with Planet Loop:
7/10: PLANET LOOP is prepping for a new CD! With a different "rotating trio" member on each track, the CD will highlight our evolving trio sound and recent tunes. Look for it here and at CDBaby/Itunes within the next few months. 10/09: We just finished a great run of shows, including a spot at the Y2K9 International Live Looping Festival with guest az Samad on guitar. Check our Music page soon for live footage of our performance. 8/09: Summer tour highlights have included more great guest artists for a rotating "Planet Loop Trio," including Eric Levy of Garaj Mahal and Kat 010 of The Crown City Rockers. The Tiburon Art Festival was a huge success, and new upcoming venues include Spirit Garden in Big Sur, CA and Silver Moon Brewery in Bend, OR. 1/09: Happy new year! The last 3 months of 2008 brought an Oregon tour with new venues in Ashland and Corvallis; and a southern tour with new venues in Half Moon Bay and Monterey. Thanks to Aditi, a fan in Monterey, who gave us the drawing on the left after the show! 9/08: It's been a very full summer, with two Oregon tours and one Northern CA coast tour. The miles are piling on the van, with more fun trips to come in the next months, including our first southbound gigs planned for November. 2/08: We are having a blast in our new home of Berkeley, CA, what a sunny beautiful place, with many creative musicians and artists. Stay tuned for our first 2008 spring tour up the cost to Oregon. 12/07: Planet Loop is relocating to the Bay Area in California! Spread the word to your west coast friends. Our first gig is Thursday, Jan. 24 at Jupiter in Berkeley. 11/07: We will be in the studio during the next few weeks laying down five new tracks, to be released monthly here and on our myspace page. |
